Ghillie Suit, Hand-MadeFall/Winter Ghillie:
Are you a hunter? Are you in the military? Going to Sniper School? Are you in Law Enforcement? Chances are you can find a use for a well-made Ghillie Suit!
“Hand-Made” by a Combat Veteran, U.S. Marine.
This Ghillie Suit was constructed with the best materials available; from the base garments, (TRU-SPEC, T.R.U. Uniform), to the paracord “grid”, to the natural fibers and dyes needed to create a natural look and superb camouflage!
I utilize only natural Jute fibers and burlap to create the ghillie “garnish”. By utilizing natural materials, you will not have to worry about the “shine” or smell that is found in mass-produced, synthetic ghillie suits. Also, natural fibers blend into the environment much better than synthetics. I also utilize natural, plant-based dyes to color the jute and burlap fibers!
My suits have built-in “Skid-Plates” on the front of the suit. Skid-Plates allow for the protection of your body while lying in the prone position and while low-crawling. Skid-Plates are made from high-quality Duck Canvas and are padded for extra comfort.
My ghillie suits are stronger than synthetic suits and are built to last! My suits are also “modular”, which means that they can be changed to fit almost any environment! The unique paracord “grid” not only allows for the easy attachment of the jute and burlap, it also allows for the attachment of natural foliage. (Remember; when you move from one location to another, you will have to change the appearance of your suit to blend into the new environment!) I have also attached “foliage bands” all over the suit to allow for another method of attaching natural foliage. (You can attach natural foliage by weaving the branches/grass/bushes under the paracord “grid” or you can stick the foliage into the “foliage bands”.)
My suits come with extra supplies as well:
Extra Jute fibers (Various Colors), Single-Strand fibers and “Dreadlock’ strands
Extra Burlap Strips, (Various Colors)
Natural Stalk Grass and Pine Grass
Needle and Thread
Fabric Adhesive
Extra Foliage Bands
I have also included a document that explains the “Break-In” procedure for the ghillie suit. (The suit is new and the front of the suit will be a little stiff until you break it in properly.) I have also included the cleaning and maintenance procedures.
My Ghillie Suits are more expensive than mass-produced, synthetic suits because creating them is labor intensive and I purchase the best quality materials; (Materials alone cost over 0.00). The average time it takes to create one of these suits, after dying and drying the jute and burlap, is between 85 and 90 hours. This being said, they will last much longer and will hold-up much better under adverse conditions! A well-made Ghillie Suit was indispensable in the Marine Corps!
